Taiwan's society has become a successful democracy where varying schools of thought contend and power changes hand in a civilised and peaceful manner.
In my opinion this is the real reason why China acts in such a belligerent way towards Taiwan. The Chinese Communist Party and its dictator Xi Jinping fear that mainland Chinese will see Taiwan as a successful democratic model for the whole of China. An alternative. And it is."
