"China has touted itself as the 'peacemaker ' in the current Gaza conflict. The only consistency with China’s 'win-win , for the good of all human kind' is their inconsistency in their approach – their lack of transparency and deflection from their own internal issues with their domestic Muslim population, hides the reality that China acts in its own interests. China needs the Middle East to try secure an important transport / logistics hub for the BRI (Belt and Road), but it also needs the West / USA as 2023 has seen a dramatic decline in FDI – some 92% down from 2022 when comparing the first ¾’s of the respective years. Based on differences between reports supplied by the China Ministry of Commerce and the State Administration of Foreign exchange, it can be extrapolated that Foreign investors have taken $100bn in profits / value so far I  2023.
